Is it possible to "uninstall custom built apps?

Sorry, what i meant was - The apps that came already installed on my G2 Touch. Peep, quickoffice, stocks, teeter, etc they are apps i don't want on my phone and have a thing about freeing up space.

Is it possible to get rid of them?

It's possible but you need to Root your phone I believe.

There are a ton of guides on how to root online but beware, rooting voids your warranty and should be done very, very, very carefully following the instructions exactly.

Also, I have no Idea if the G2 was ever rooted, but I would guess so.

Ok thanks. i've seen all this "rooted" quite often and never took the time to find out what it was, but if thats how to bin these apps I will check it out and maybe "get rooted" if G2 isn't already.

No problem, just one thing though: if no one has ever rooted it before it's not something you will be able to just do. You basically need a hacker to have done it already and posted the steps on how.

But the G2 has been around for awhile, so I suspect someone has done this already. Check your phone's specific forum here on phandroid and ask around, they should know where to look for instructions on how to root.
