I'm about to buy my first Android phone. I've decided on the Samsaung T-Mobile Vibrant mainly because I need a phone that will work internationally, both in America and in India. I can buy it at a local T-Mobile store in Palo Alto for $199 or I can buy it for $99 over the internet from letstalk.com. Does anyone know if it's safe to buy over the internet? Are there any reasons not to?

If its a reputable online site then yes, but its always best to pay with a credit card as you get extra protection.

Just remember sometimes those third party sites have their own contract you sign with them while signing up for T-Mobile. For example, wirefly will charge you if you change your plan or deactivate your phone within the first 6 months, etc. It's safe if you buy from a reputable place, I just like going through my carrier only that way if I ever have issues I don't worry about getting the run around. (ie: Me: there's a problem Them: You'd have to take it up with letstalk.com)
