Help Is my galaxy S3 genuine?

Hey folks,

I just bought an Galaxy S3 and im wondering if it`s a real one or not. I tryd the imei and it did show up, tho my s3 is black and the one on imei.info is white..? Is there another way i can make sure that the one i have is real? Like say: I got samsung apps, i got the 4.1.2 kernel (latest). The phone is updating and everything seems and sounds like the real deal. What is strange also: the imei says 32gb tho the mine is 16? Any tips. The phone codes *#1234# and the sorts work.

Call samsung. Everything looks normal on the face of it. Check with them if what you have matches what they think you have
 
Hey Root, thanks for the reply. I contacted Samsung, but the only thing they asked me about was the imei. "It should start with 35...". I said "yes it does start with 35, here it is: 35......" on which samsung said "well then it must a original one".. say you got a fake samsung, can you still update your apps via samsung? would you have the app "samsung`s app`s" etc?

Well if it cant, then i guess mine must be a real one. This seeing i can update the phone, the samsung apps was there by default, etc. Also the batterij is awsome. going 27 hours and still life left in it.

Btw: Do you guys know a program with which i could check my phones hardware specs? If im not mistaken there was a pc program for it, with which you could see the specifications, cpu, etc.

The IMEI will change if you change motherboard, so that wouldn't account for a mismatch in storage capacity. By far the simplest answer is that that IMEI check site has the wrong information. It's not exactly unknown.

When you go to settings - storage, what does it say for how much storage you have?

It says.

Total storage: 11,25GB
Apps: 359Mb
Photo`s & vid: 73Mb
Audio: 20Kb
Other: 117 Mb
Available storage: 10,52 GB

What i did notice just now, is that the box is in french, tho im from Holland. The product (of which i have a warranty coupon) is bought from a big online dutch store (neckermann.com)
