Is my phone tapped???

morning

I had a strong suspicion my ex had tapped my phone, firstly occuring on my HTC one SV as my phone ceased to show who was calling, all numbers with held, my carrier reset settings ect but made no difference, was advised to replace my sim, did this with no joy. My phone started just turning itself off!!

I replaced phone with a Telstra Dave (I'm blonde & we all make mistakes lol) once again all same issues. A friend told me to dial #*06# I get error message 'connection problem or invalid MMI code'

Am at an absolute loss, any help or advice greatly appreciated hoping have given sufficient detail

Does your ex know your email and password? He could be controlling your phone through a Lost Phone app. Check your phone for locator apps, I do know that Android Lost can be installed remotely and it can also be made hidden to avoid detection. You may need to change either your phone number, email address or password or all three.

if you replaced sim and phone.. but still happens.

spy apps do not mess with your phone. that would be counter productive. to give user evidence of strange things. it would just record what the phone is doing.. and send back info to the other person.

my guess there is nothing he is doing.
it is more likely an issue with the carrier.. you are in a bad area of service.

on an android phone.. that is NOT rooted.
a total hard reset back to orginial state.. would delete all hidden apps.
and you should be fine. remember to reset all passwords: from a safe clean PC.
