Is my SD card a fake?

Hi

I bought a 32GB MicroSD card, and done a H2testw test as I was having bother with it, and these were the results:

The media is likely to be defective.
987.2 MByte OK (2021888 sectors)
30.2 GByte DATA LOST (63479296 sectors)
Details:0 KByte overwritten (0 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
30.2 GByte corrupted (63479296 sectors)
0 KByte aliased memory (0 sectors)

Is it a fake? Or just really damaged?

Fake.. it's a 1GB chip pretending to be a 32GB chip. All too common these days. Let me guess, it came via Ebay and was shipped from China?

Looks fake or defective to me. I've done the ebay/china thing once and was taken for 14 bucks. I knew it was a risk, but hey, 14 bucks for 32 gigs.

damaged do you have a usb sd card reader ... if you do have a win system run chkdsk start> run> cmd.exe>chkdsk :/x* replace :/x with the drive letter that is mounted when you plug the reader. This will repair the damaged parts of the card, If it don't do anything then you have a fake card. Would try to get your money back .

ps if needed try putting chkdsk in -F mode that will be able if the car is locked to run it
