Is RAM upgradable?

I have a HTC EVO 4G. I understand that it has 512MB of internal RAM. Is there a way to upgrade that? Or is the memory soldered onto the board?
 
It is possible. You would have to be EXTREMELY careful and know what you're doing, and have to have access to a chip that's 1gb worth since that's about the only size bigger you'll get on a single chip. Depends on how the Evo has it's ram setup, if it's setup single chip then method as I listed earlier. If it's dual chip, then 2 512 mb chips, etc etc. It's possible, but I wouldn't recommend it.
 
Ya, I don't think it's something you can just buy at the store. I have a feeling it's probably soldered or attached somehow to the other components as well. Doubtful that it's something you could easily upgrade, assuming you could even find some that fits. Internal phone hardware is not designed to be modular.
