Is the film attached to the Kevlar REMOVABLE? Bubbles have formed..

All these bubbles have formed in the back.. which means there is clearly some type of film attached to the Kevlar. I'm wondering if it is safe to remove it because it looks HORRIBLE with all the bubbles in the back. They've all stretched out and it looks bad.

I know for a fact that the original Droid Razr has a removable film because there's a sticker that you have to peel off.. but on the Maxx, there's no sticker for you to remove.. It doesn't tell you.. you just have to find out for yourself. So I'm wondering.. is there anyone here that tried removing the film in the back?

Lol, there is a film the phone is shipped with. If you haven't peeled it of yet, you should...

I'm talking about the back of the phone. Is there really a removable film there because on the Original Droid Razr, they have this sticker that basically tells you to remove the back. On the Maxx, however, it doesn't have that. And it's very difficult to "peel" off. You can't even touch the film because everytime you try to peel it off, your nails just slip off and it feels like ur just scratching the back, not trying to peel anything off.

YES, on the back of the Razr Maxx.. There have been a few just like you that asked on this forum and other Razr Maxx forums if the film was to be removed. Answer, YES, remove it. :D

Take your fingernail, press into the back Kevlar area, your finger nail should slide smoothly, if not, then peel the protective film that it was shipped with. :D

I left it on for 8-9 days while I decided if I wanted to keep the phone. By the time I decided, it became pretty easy to gently get a corner up and peel it off.

I got tricked by this film as well!
I thought they had shipped me a refurbished RAZR MAXX. I could not see an edge & the back looked scuffed. I was thinking this Kevlar is not so hot. I even peeled off the white barcode stickers & still no film came off. I telephoned Verizon & ...THEY DID NOT KNOW! They suggested I bring it in to a store. At the store the guy told me yes, there is a film.

You just need to be aggressive with your fingernail & dig in at the corner. It will start to come off. <GRIN>

I suggest you take it off if you put a cover on it. You don't want it to get hot and get sticky.
