Help Is the Galaxy Mini compatible with Mac??

i just bought the Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570L) which is the Latin-American version of the phone, as I live in South America. I don't think it differs much from the European or North-American versions, but I don't really know. Anyway, I am a Mac user, so I downloaded Kies for Mac, but when I connect the phone it says 'device not supported by Kies'. Is this phone simply not compatible with Macs? Thanks.

Ok, I've just figured out that Google Play works very nicely for transferring Music and syncing Apps etc
Now I just want to figure out how to upgrade to the latest version. The phone came pre-installed with Android 2.2.1
Since I can't get Kies to recognise my phone, how can I upgrade it??

AAAAAHHHH! No I can't sync music, Google Play Music is only available in the US Really need to find an alternative.

I have same phone and Mac too.Android upgraded with friends Windows PC.Music and photos and all other stuff can be dealed with Mac.Just connect it to USB and it shows as Samsung-harddrive ,using the memory card.Just drag and drop the files.Hope you got it sorted !

You can take it to where you brought your phone for an upgrade or the Samsung Center
