Is the Samsung Galaxy getting 2.0?

I was just wonderin if the galaxy is getttin 2.0 any time soon and if it is worth buying now and waiting for an update. OR should i just buy a htc hero?

get the hero im about 85 percent sure the answer to ur question is no the galaxy isnt getting 2.0 and the hero isnt either its getting 2.1

Just joined the forum as I was looking for info on the Galaxy i5700. A review on crave cnet concluded with the following line:-

The Portal runs Android 1.5, but Samsung promises an update is imminent for all Galaxy handsets.

This review was dated 22 Jan 2010, lets hope it's accurate as I'm ready to take the plunge myself.

Please bear in mind that the HTC Hero has a slower CPU and may not be happy with Android 2.0 if made available for that handset.

according to an article posted on Phandroid, Engadget and I think Boy Genius Report, EVERY Android Phone currently out is getting 2.1
