Is there a way to know when an app was installed?

Hi all,

Assuming of course that the phone date and time were/are correct, is there a way to know when an app has been installed?

the closest thing I can think of is appbrain organizes apps by install time, however it advances them with updates.
This is a good way to tell which apps never update.
