Is there a way to set a timeout before the pattern lock comes on?

On the iPhone and Blackberry you can set a time out so it does not prompt you to eneter the pw evertime you turn the screen on. Is this possible on Android?

Download a program called 'Autolock' from the market, it lets you specify a timeout.

+1 for Autolock. I've mine set to a 2-hour timeout. Works excellently.

Plus, it can be used as a shortcut to locking overly curious friends.

Does Autolock delay the "slide to unlock" feature, or just the "pattern unlock."

What I'm interested in is a program that disables the "slide to unlock" feature for, say, 30 seconds. There are dozens of times I turn the phone off then realize I forgot something, and turn it right back on again and have to re-slide to unlock.

My guess is it does not affect the "slide to unlock" thing, since I still get to deal with the unlock screen on my (v1.5) Galaxy.
