Is there a way to stop all notification and incoming calls for an extended period?

I am going to play music using the music icon mind you not pandora or google listen at an event for a little over an hour and a half and when the phone (Moto Droid) is silenced it still interrupts the music a little whether it be a text or a phone call. Any help will be appreciated. I have thought about just stopping service altogether for the time being but outside of that I am out of ideas. Thanks.

Won't airplane mode stop all phone functions? Sorry to answer your question with a question, but I've never used it. As far as I know, that's how airplane mode works.

+1 airplane mode will kill data voice and txts.
