Is there an app that enables dialing from the lock screen?

It frustrates getting through all the menus in order to place a call.
(I still want my smartphone to be a phone)

Widgetlocker will allow you to add that feature to your lock screen. That's how I have mine set up I have an unlock bar then another bar that is swipe right for phone dialer and left for camera

It's $2 for the app but well worth it.

OK I have to ask how did you get that battery life thingy? That is what that's for right, the 59 with circle around it? I have been trying to change mine but can't get it to I got a few from the market but they look like junk

Depending on how your phone reads battery life it may not have intervals of 1%, I know moto phones only read 100%, 90%, 80%, ect

You are now the best person in the world. I have been going through battery widgets like crazy looking for that circle.

And I have an htc inspire which does the 1% increments. Woohoo off to change my Widgetlocker screen...
