Is there a player app that plays video at double the speed?

I don't mind if the sound comes out funny

I've seen some other threads - the answer seems to be no

I thought I'd again incase something new has come to market recently

I have tried searching myself but can't find anything

I'm also hoping for something that can do this. On my PC, I've always liked VLC's feature where you can increase or decrease the playback rate. I like to watch movies at like 110%...passes the time more quickly and surprisingly you can't hardly really tell a difference with most movies.
There is supposed to be a VLC Android app coming but I don't think it's out yet and I don't know if it would possess this particular feature anyways.

Have a look at iMPlayer+ and yxPlayer

i got the htc flyer recently. implayer+ didnot work well at all, yxplayer had no pitch correction and wished it had a finer playback speed control. 1x 2x 4x were the choices presented.
