Is there An App To Track Crashes?

I have a Galaxy S8 running OREO. Keeps crashing and restarting. Want to narrow down what's doing it.

Any apps to track this without rooting the phone? Im not a technical person.

Factory Reset, you push the power button and volume down while your phone is down, scroll until you see the clear cache. That should do the trick.

I'm not wiping the phone, Im trying to identity what the issue is. It maybe hardware related.

I already wiped the cache partition, inside that command prompt looking menu in the backend. Did not work. Issue still persists.

I would guess that some sort of Log app or logging via ADB. Not familiar with the ADB bit but does this happen randomly or can you readily duplicate the crash/reboot?
Did this happen after a recent OTA update? Is your power button sticky making it reboot at will?

No pattern. No recent apps or updates either that I know of unless something in the Background updated. It's random.

Sometimes the phone is just sitting idle and I hear it restart because it vibrates when it boots back on. Sometimes I'm watching a youtube video, or using maps. Not the power button, because it starts with a freeze and restarts.

Hmm, well I was thinking a misbehaving app which, it just may be but you state no recent apps. However, I wouldn't rule that out.

Now, back to your original inquiry, I'm sure there is a no-root logging app you could try but honestly I don't know much about what is out there. Long ago when I was rooted, I used aLogCat app or CatLog app. Decent apps for sure but again, required root.

Perhaps someone else can shed some light on what other ideas, or apps there are for logging, or the reason for your reboots.

Trying to put myself in your shoes, I would perhaps disable the last app you installed to see if that at least helps.

Question, about how many times a day does this happen? Or is that hit and miss too?

Okay not familiar with that, just trying to troubleshoot with you.

Okay, yeah. Will see if anyone has ideas.

It's random, couple days it was 4-5 times a day. Then nothing for 2 days, then started again. Then stopped.
