I use google voice almost exclusively but my phone has a different number than my GV number. I just use the forwarding and dialer selection features to use google voice as my primary number.
So, my setting is "ask me every time I start a call". And every time I dial someone's number, the little pop up comes and tells me if I want to dial using google voice or not. There are certain things that I use my actual phone number, because some services (especially banks and such) do not like VoIP numbers.
What I want to do is, when I get into my car and connect to my car's PAN, I want this dialer selection to change and become, "always use google voice" so, when I voice dial someone, I don't need to fumble to find my phone and make a selection. Of course I want this setting to revert to "Ask me" when I exit my car, disconnect from car's PAN.
It almost seems like it is a perfect job for something like IFTTT or Tasker but I do not have any experience in either of these platforms and looking for some novice help setting this up or someone to kindly point me towards such a utility/plug-in/widget. My google searches so far, did not come up with anything helpful.
