Is there an imput widget for digital signitures?

Hi, this is my first post!

OT: I'm currently trying to build an app for the union of my university. The idea is to automate signing up for societys. To join a society, students currently need to provide their:

• Name
• id number
• email
• signiture

Now I want to collect the above data using widgits. Not a problem for the first three, widgets. My only prioir experiance of GUIs is with java.swing, I'm fairly sure isn't supported, and a tiny bit of VB I did back in the day.

But I am wondering if anything exits for collecting digital signitures easily? I'm thinking like, for lack of better example, the nintendo DS touch screen. Or even the little device the postman has for the same purpose.

Is there a package that I need to download to implement such a utility or does one not exist? Or am I just being stupid?

Actually if your need is just to "capture" the signature someone "write" on the screen, then any Paint related app with the option to save those into jpg files will suffice. I have my own too but I design it for kids to use it though something like doodle concept but if you want free, there are quite a few others too.
