Is there any help or is it too late?!

I swear at my age (clue - mid to late 40's) am I too old to learn new tricks? I have never really played with a smartphone or tablet, etc...I am totally a desktop Dell kinda girl! Anyway, I wanted to come so a forum who would either help or totally make fun of me...I am not thin skinned nor unaware of my ineptness. Thanks for having me in your group...hope to learn some stuff and make some new friends.
