Is there any way to play a playlist uploaded from my pc?

I have the folders with the music in my device storage/playlists. One is labeled 'breakmusic' while the other is labeled 'backing tracks'. I just want this thing to do what a $10 mp3 player would do. Won't it do that?

What format is your playlist in?

I'm sure I posted a reply a few days ago, with links to suggestions that a quick search turned up, but it doesn't seem to be here. Unfortunately haven't time to recreate it.

My uploaded files are mp3. I think I'm beginning to get a picture of what's happening. Apparently my phone won't do what a $5 mp3 player will do unless I pay someone MORE money. The app mentioned costs money. Ya know, money and power are the same thing. Once enough of it is gathered in one pile it's the same as communism.

There is almost certainly an app on the phone that will play MP3 without costing you anything. The problem is the playlist file, and you've said nothing about what that is.

I've got a few playlists that were exported from iTunes. As long as the music is located on the phone, I can copy the playlist to the phone and play it through the Play Music app (in offline mode) just fine. I don't have a Play subscription and don't feel like paying Google $10/month to listen to my own music library.

I have to apologize. I used to have the Pi player. I don't know why I ever uninstalled it. It does what i need it to do. Thank you all for your help.
