Is there anyway to root a Sony Walkman NWZ-E473?

I know it isn't an Android device, but I didn't know where else to look because I searched it up on google and it wasn't getting me any results, if you would like to help me you could either give me an answer or give me a link to a forums site that can.

I don't think there's anything to root is there? It's a dedicated MP3 with some embedded firmware.

There was alternative open source firmware for some MP3 players, like Rockbox, that could be installed on some iPods and iRiver players. And Rockbox supported a couple of Sony Walkmans.

Rockbox may support your particular Walkman but I don't think there's anything very usable, and it was last updated in 2017.

I used Rockbox for years on iPods, before I got an Android device.
