Apps is this a way of selling aps on market?

I am from Romania (SE Europe) and I want to upload paid apps on Android Market, but this is not possible because selling apps is not supported here at this time. So, this idea came into my mind: if I somehow have or open a bank account in, let's say Italy or Austria, can I sell apps using that bank account, even if my home address is in Romania? My account info will say I'm from Romania but my bank account (I am supposing that Google Checkout can't send money to Romanian banks and that's why my country is not supported) is in Italy. Can this be done, or do I have to be a Italian citizen or have an Italian home address? Thank you very much.

What you describe sounds kind of "shady", so it might not be allowed. But I don't know for sure.

I do hope it is, because it's SUCH a shame that the Android Market is not open to more countries!

You can talk to someone that lives in other country and ask him to open an bank account for you and say that he is the owner of the app but he will give you the money that on this accout -some %

Interesting issue.

Maybe someone should think about establishing a US based publisher for Android apps, to ensure this kind of stuff is taken care of?

In a few months, I'd gladly do it.
