Latest Youtube Comments Note 7 news: People are telling me they’re going to sell their Note 7 for $2000+ on eBay now that sales are halted

Good luck with that.

Well... they can try to sell their Note 7 for $2,000.

My money is on their eBay listing expiring with no offers.

Let us also not forget the next biggest losers, after Samsung, in this whole sorry affair over the Galaxy Note 7...

the counterfeiters!

They have invested a considerable amount of time, effort and money bringing their knock-off version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to the market and if the Note 7 is withdrawn, could face ruin. :D

In fairness to the counterfeiters, there have been no reports of their clone phones exploding. ;)

AFAICT the N7 is not recalled in the counterfeiters' home country, China, and is still on sale at Samsung's own stores, and other dealers.

If Samsung did issue a recall of the N7 in China now, and told people to stop using them here, it would kind of make a mockery of their original story about PRC versions using a different battery and being safe all along.

Seems to me that (at least in the US) if someone is trying to sell a consumer product that they KNOW was recalled and poses a safety or fire hazard, the seller would be liable for damages if the buyer is harmed. I'm not a lawyer... but that risk isn't worth $2000. Plus it's just the wrong thing to do.
