ISP Email or Gmail/Hotmail etc?

I'm just curious what everyone uses most for day to day? Your email accounts that come included with your home internet or online services like Gmail and Hotmail?

I have 2 email accounts on my ISP that I use for most stuff. My Gmail account tied to my phone I only use for Google Play and nothing else. The reason I prefer using my ISP email is because it's less popular and less prone to datamining by big online entities like Google or MS and they're just as disposable. I guess I feel a little better deep inside letting Rogers spy on my activities than an international giant online entity.

For example, I'll use my ISP email accounts to sign up for PayPal, dropbox, eBay etc rather than Gmail.

Just curious what others prefer

Gmail is my payments email, where all my bill statements go.
Ymail is my resume email, since its my first.last name.
My originally Yahoo is spam mail. Nothing but spam mail.

I refuse to use my ISP's email (Comcast) because when they bought out my previous ISP (Adelphia) they gave you an option to keep your old email and then a few months later closed those email accounts without warning. I had email in there I needed as well as some accounts tied to it that you can't change the email without clicking the link they email you. The same thing happened with my wife's email.

I use Gmail for my phone and other google related updates (ie youtube)
I have two hotmail accounts one I use for professional contact (when looking for jobs) and use it to keep track of shipping and receipts for payments. My second hotmail is used for miscelaneous subscriptions that would otherwise spam up my main account

then I also have my work email, which of course is used at work.
