Issue about the stock app, Walking mate.

As we know, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a stock widget, Walking mate.
What I wonder is how this stock app makes a distinction among Walking, Running and Up/down.

The apparent speed you're going determined by GPS, just a guess. Running being faster than walking, and if you're just going up/down on a stepper or something, you're not going anywhere.

Thank you. But I had GPS disabled while I was walking.
