for awhile now I've had an issue, due to the area I am in, I blew it off as bad signal, but now it is starting to happen more. Sometimes when I answer a call, all I hear is silence. the party on the other end says it just keeps ringing, and never going to voicemail. not sure where to start on trouble shooting it. it seems to happen even if I factory reset.

Who's your carrier, make and model of phone, what is your location?
Note 4 ,SM-N910V, Verizon
Sounds like bad signal coverage.
Do you have the same problem in all areas or is it just the one area? Phil
Contact your carrier and make sure your SIM is provisioned correctly. Verizon, because of the CDMA network used to only allow data or voice but not both. Since they've added LTE bands (which requires the SIM) you can now talk and text and surf simultaneously. But if you are dropping back to 4G for data, it could affect your call service.
