Help Issue with bluetooth streaming

Lurker
I'm using note 4 (5.0.1) with bose soubdlink 3. When I use Bluetooth streaming from my phone when I'm connected to the wifi there are occational stutter or pops. However if wifi is off nothing happens. Needless to say no trouble with aux cable either. I'm primarily using apps like gaana, saavn, youtube for streaming music or video. I have tried to clear cache in all those apps and bluetooth killed backgroubd apps. Change router channels. Tried almost all the solutions available I could find in the net so can anyone suggest any fix??

Hi,

I found 5.0.1 to be completely disastrous for bluetooth quality. So much so that I reverted back to 4.4.4 which works just great in this area (for me at least). However today, given that 5.1.1 is available for most Note 4's, I would give that update a try first.

Note: I didn't perform a factory reset after my update, so my problems could have stemmed from garbage left over from the previous OS. Also, I always leave WiFi on, so I could have had more luck with it turned off (not that this would be much of a solution for me since I use WiFi everywhere but in the car).

So, upgrade or downgrade. The first may not be available to you just yet and the latter may be difficult (or impossible based on your carrier). Not an easy fix in any case, so you way want to wait and see if you get other suggestions.

Regards,
Eric.
