Apps Issue with Running Android App

Lurker
hi guys. i recently started to learn developing apps for android. I don't really know much yet but i've been following some tutorials on youtube. Anyway, i installed my sdk and i have downloaded and extracted eclipse already. I've also set everything up according to how it was done in the videos i've watched. i thought everything was okay because i've managed to create a new project and everything. However, when i started to run it as an android application, the "problem" occurred.
the emulator starts and it runs but instead of displaying "Hello World, startingPoint!" (i'm using the new boston tutorial on youtube) it displays a screen with the time, date, battery charge, lock icon and volume icon. I don't know why. please help me with this.

i attached a picture of what i'm saying.
#1 - displayed on my emulator
32 - what's supposed to be displayed

You need to unlock the screen. Click on the padlock and drag it to the right-hand side of the screen, then let go of the mouse button.

thank you for replying. "Or just click the menu key on the right" - so that's why it appeared when i accidentally pressed the menu button. :)

i feel stupid because i uninstalled my SDK and all the APIs and such that i've downloaded got deleted. I then installed it again and downloaded blah blah... when all the problem was just unlocking it. >.<

thanks again.
