issues connecting with new subnet

my roku express works fine at home (192.168.1.x). when i take the roku to work, i cannot get it to connect via wifi. the work network is 192.168.25.x. the roku is not even seeing the SSID at work. all my other devices work well with the work wifi. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
 
Just to clarify, is your Roku failing to connect to your work WiFi network when you go through the actual set up process?

If not, try going through the whole set up process again and see what happens. If yes, you might want to try doing a reset on your Roku Express.

Another thing to check is just the basic WiFi coverage range at your workplace. Is the signal pretty strong when you look in your phone's Settings >> Wi-Fi menu?

correct. my roku will not even, "see" my wireless network, and the access point is approx 10 feet away. SSID is broadcasting, my phone and other devices work though. i tried rebooting the roku since it is used to connecting to a 192.168.1.x network as opposed to a 192.168.25.x network.
 
It might be easier to focus less on the subnet issue, as that isn't the problem. If it were a matter where your Roku Express can only connect to one IP address that would be something to contend with, but that's not how those streaming devices work when they're initially being set up. Connecting to different networks is part of the process, the issue being not everyone or every place is using the same class of IP addresses, nor the same subnets. If your Roku can't even detect your work WiFi after doing the setup process or a reset, odds are it's not your Roku but something to do with the WiFi network. A simple test would be to see if your Roku can detect and connect to any other WiFi network (i.e. at a friend's home).
But @Dannydet did bring up a possibility, does your workplace have restrictions in place for things like streaming content, or use something like MAC address filtering to manage which devices are allowed access? The first time you tried connecting to the WiFi network using your phone, was it a matter of just entering a password or did you need to have someone add your phone's MAC first?
