Hi there.
With my old phone, the Droid Razr Maxx HD, I used an app called Sync.Me to sync up FB photos to my contacts because the regular FB sync stopped working after an upgrade. I hated what it looked like, so cancelled the process partway (meaning only 10-15 contacts of around 600 had their FB photos).
I just upgraded my phone to the Moto X (gen 2) a few days ago. It isn't rooted or jailbroken or anything like that. When my contacts transferred over, it included these old Sync.Me pics. I went into each individual contact and manually deleted their picture (and saved, of course), but when I scroll through my contacts or view the individual contact (or when they call), it still pops up! However, when I click their name to edit their contact details, it shows as them not having a contact photo.
I'm sick of these grainy, out-dated Facebook photos on only a handful of my contacts. Help!
What I tried:
- Going into the Cloud and deleting the pic from there. It shows the picture, but I can't edit things there.
- Placing a photo from my gallery as their contact picture, saving, then going in to edit their info and delete that picture. But once I delete the gallery picture, that old Sync.Me pic appears again.
- Deleting the Contact cache, but for some reason the cache wouldn't clear? I would press the button and nothing would happen even after waiting.
- Downloading the app "Clean Master" to delete cache data, but Contacts didn't appear as an app that I could delete things from.
