Issues Downloading APK files

I have a moto droid and recently when trying to download apk files it is telling me "cannot download. The content is not supported on this phone." I have not had any issues before now. I have checked the setting for allowing outside apps to be installed. I have astro installed thats what ive been using to open and install the apps i have previously got to work, but out of the blue i am getting this error. Please help. Thank you. Nick

that doesn't make sense...your phone won't even let you download an .apk file? weird... sounds like it's attempting to prevent you from installing apps outside of the market or something.....

download the .apk to your pc then transfer via usb to your phone's sd card.

if that doesn't work, i don't know what to tell ya :(

it allows the download of some files but not all. It wont let me download games, or advanced task manager...so on and so on. I thought it may have had a corrupt file or somthing so i did a factory reset to restore default settings and erase everything but i am having the same issues
