Help Issues regarding BYOD to MetroPCS

I recently got an unlocked Galaxy S5 (Verizon model), and I brought it to Metro to register with my account. After applying the correct APN settings as noted in this thread, I still have a couple of major issues.

The first issue is voicemail. Clearly, the native voicemail application on the phone, which is connected with Verizon's voicemail settings, isn't going to work, but I was able to download Metro's Visual Voicemail application off Google Play. However, when I try to use the app, it gives me the following message:

"We are unable to connect to the appropriate cellular network. Please check your carrier and APN settings and try again."

I also have a similar problem when accessing MyMetro.

The 2nd issue I have is reception. My last phone consistently had great reception (5 bars). However, with this phone, I only have 2 bars. My data also drops whenever I make a phone call, which is unusual to say the least.

Is there anything I can do to fix these problems?

Edit: Forgot to mention. It won't let me activate hotspot either. It says "Unable to connect. Mobile number not found."

PASTE your APN here so that we can proofread / spellcheck.
Try first WITHOUT setting any mms proxy.
REBOOT in between changes.

That was the first step.
Second is where you live, be as specific as you can.
Third could be creating online Metro account...
Fourth could be installing Metro ROM...

Others here could have better ideas...
