Issues with charging the battery

my phone was around 15% when i charged it this morning at around 10:30am. it is now 2:19pm and the phone is still at 59%!? is this normal for a galaxy s3? i know that with it being a 4G phone, that it uses up a lot more battery, but even then, this seems pretty odd to me still? i read somewhere that you get it at 100% where it is fully charged at under 3 hours? this is already my 2nd battery as i was having the same problems with the original battery that i got when i first got the phone on 07/11. went to the verizon store yesterday and the sales rep gave this new battery to me. but now it's doing the same. could it be my phone? i'm hardly using it while charging because i'm at work. i only peak in instagram or FB for a few minutes from time to time, but nothing more.

i would appreciate any input from you experts. thanks!

While I'm no expert I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. O.k. back to your ? . Do you have sync turned on ?

Check your battery stats to see what is using a lot of battery. I had a major battery drain issue yesterday, and it turned out to be the Slacker Radio app. Once I killed it everything was fine again.
