Issues with LCD on S3

How's it going? Would appreciate your feedback on an issue I have with the LCD light on my S3. It's not showing notifications for WhatsApp and other apps. All settings are correct, is there something stupid I'm not considering?

Go under Settings, Display, LED Indicator and make sure sll appropriate boxes are checked.

is the notification box ticked in the dropdown menu from the top of the screen?
