Issues with Samsung S9 HELP!!!!

JUST picked this phone up yesterday. Love the speed and certain things, but it will NOT connect to my car. I have tried everything. Really, Samsung??? Most basic functionality should work! Also, Smart Lock won't work. Seems like this phone is a half-baked idea. NEED AN UPDATE SAMSUNG. NEED TO BE ABLE TO USE IN THE CAR!!!!!

You are trying to connect via Bluetooth, or some other way? Just checking: remember that we know only what you tell us.
Sorry, yes, through Bluetooth. I have tried EVERYthing. Tried force stopping the Bluetooth, restarting, pairing through car, through phone. Tried the other areas within the phone to connect. NOTHING works, this REALLY sucks.

A few posts on the web suggest clearing the caches of all Bluetooth apps (bluetooth share, bluetooth test, etc). Seems you aren't the only one with this problem, and it's not specific to a particular car manufacturer (which may not mean that there isn't a problem with this particular car's compatibility, of course).

Does it even see your cars bluetooth or will it see it and won't connect?

Can it see other bluetooth devices?
I'm not sure if it's picking it up or not, I can see other devices then I see MAC IP addresses which *could* be the car, but not sure. My car connected fine to my old Samsung S7.

Yes, I was researching as well and saw the cache suggestion but I JUST bought the phone, didn't think there would be anything cached! It seems this is a huge issue and no one can connect. Does Samsung release updates to fix this type of thing?

Nothing worked. Did a whole troubleshooting thing with Samsung. They said it's a compatibility issue, no fix. BS!!!!! Ticket opened, I am raising hell. This is SO unacceptable.
