I've got a brick :(

Got my Moto X last November and I love it...but suddenly, it became a brick this week. I have tried all the reset options I can find. Power button, holding volume down with power button...nothing....heading to store today to see if they can save it. And I don't have time to special order another. So sad!!!

There was no trauma (drops, moisture) or updates installed? It wasn't rooted?

Did the batter become fully discharged? My old Moto's would go into a hybernation type mode where it would sit on the charger for up 20 24 hours for the first 5% charge. Something to protect the battery that was explained to me here but I've long since forgotten. After a day, hold the power button down for like 3 minutes and it would boot. Plug it in then and it would charge normally. I haven't had this happen with my X, but my son's Nexus 7 still acts this way when it gets fully discharged.

... and ... is the battery charged? Did you plug it into the wall charger that came with your phone using the cable that came with your phone?

If you got it in December its still under warranty. Charge it, try to reset it. If it doesn't work call Motorola up. I can tell you from experience that they are very good. If they can't walk you through a fix, they will email you a new code and you can go on the Moto Maker store and design a new phone. You will get it within two or three days. Just send back the faulty phone and you are good to go.
