Root Jelly Bean root???

Can someone help me root my droid razor maxx with jelly bean 4.1.1 i cant seem to find any documentation i could understand thanks in advance

Assuming you were on ics, download Matt's utility & choose option 1 to get back to stock ics. This tool can also be used to root once you're up and running.

no i was on 4.1.1 none of the root programs where working so i used matts utility and hit 1 to see what would happen and now my phones dead any suggestions?

In order to have jelly bean you must have been rooted before with custom rom. Unless an OTA was released and I'm unaware???

I've never heard of matts utility not working to restore. Did you install the motorola drivers and run the restore from fastboot mode(Power the phone on with holding both volume buttons + power button, then scroll down to ap fastboot and use the volume up to key select it)?

no my phone was not rooted i just downloaded 4.1.1 ive been out to sea and just got back google said it was jelly bean matts just freezesup on press any key to continue
my phone says

device is locked status code 0

battery ok
transfer mode
usb connected

fastboot reason flash failure
usb connected

it also says remote failure alot in mats when i run option 1

I wasn't aware that a jelly bean OTA went out. Where do you live? Someone more knowledable will come along. How about volume up and power button at the android guy with the triangle?

that didnt work i live in washington state it said it was android 4.1.1 and build 77.111.10

That link is for the Razr M, not the Razr/Razr Maxx. It's a completely different phone.

Hopefully matt's utility can get you back. Also look into the failsafe batches that comes with the utility if you can't get it working.

Are you sure you have the DROID RAZR or do do have the DROID RAZR HD? Cuz that had a soak test at least for jellybean

Droid razr/Maxx do not have currently any OTA Jellybean software except custom roms.
