Help Jelly bean ruined my s3

I bought my S3 two months ago and upgraded to Jellybean a week later via Kies.
Since then my phone has become so slow. Im scared to open contacts or the phone...it takes ages to open!!! tried a factory restore. doesnt help at all.
Jelly bean is an absolute disaster. I mean whats the point buying a quadcore if its gonna take 6 seconds to open your contacts list! im disappointed.
Google better do something about it~!
Any solutions out there? or am i the only one facing this problem!

By the looks of this board and the fact that generally complaints surface in much higher percentage numbers here than across the general population, yes, I think you may be the only one facing this problem!
 
You've got something going on with your phone to make it that slow. It's not of much value to repeat here what is easily searchable across this and many other android forums. Many steps you can take to speed things up and optimize your S3, including looking at any apps you've loaded that may be running all the time...
 
It's not Google's fault. AOSP's Contacts and Dialer load up quickly because they are always kept in memory. With Samsung's firmware, unfortunately they aren't, and therefore, it takes longer. Beside that, Jelly Bean didn't really make the phone slower, not for me.
 
I can't say you're the only one ... but I've updated to SGS3s to JB and have not noticed any slowdown or lag on either of them. Yes, battery drain is higher and charging now takes FOREVER, but neither phone seems slower than it did before the update.
