JPG images not showing email

All looks good on my iPhone, but email images (jpg) show up as a box with a questions mark. What type of image file can be used to have them show when viewing emails. (device - Motorola droid max)
 
Hello and welcome to AndroidForums. If you are using Gmail, there is an option to show pictures in an html based email. It does not do this by default to save on data usage. The option is within the email.
