Hi folks, im fairly new to android but im loving the possibilities.

At the moment im having abit of a dispute with my phone company and have no internet at all.

I thought i would be still able to use atleast the apps that require GPS like say google maps. It seems i cant use anything at all without internet no radio nothing.

I have a fancy phone that at the moment only does the very basic stuff a

Google maps loads off the internet, not sure how you were expecting to use that. You'd need a program that stored maps on the SD card, of which there are many.

Yea if you want to take full advantage of all Android has to offer (or really ANY smartphone for that matter), it's going to require that you have the internet package on your account :)

Could you suggest a programme that i can use to save lets say atleast london so i can use maps while my internet is down ?

Thanks again

Or be near wifi all the time, But I know for iPhone there are apps that will save the maps to the phone like Tom Tom, sure it's $100 but the GPS will work without internet, but alas I don't know if there is anything like that on android..
