Just curious

Hello, I have this Lg G4c H525n or some model, my device is rooted with kingroot (yeap this one) I have been reading varioua forums about and I just can't figure out this. So.. Is my device is compatible with latest non beta Xposed framework/installer or so version? You see I wish to tinker my device even more  because I am really rash about my phone's performance and various improvements even if they small and I am interested in this inteli3g module/function but i am sitting on the fence because I'm not sure about this RISK. will my device support it? Or will I face bootloop? And if I face it, will I be able to return to safe mode in my lg from boot screen? What you could recommend

Do you have a custom recovery? I would be reluctant to mess with /system without one, but if you have one then you can use it to make a backup of your system first, then if the mod messes the ROM up you just boot into recovery and restore the backup.

Safe mode won't help if you install something incompatible to /system, nor will a factory reset. Without a custom recovery if you mess up the ROM so it can't boot into android the only option is to reflash the ROM.

Afraid I don't know about your device's compatibility with xposed.

Ok. Thanks for your answer, my device is not popular actually. I haven't seen so far a way to install Custom Recovery. Neither it supports clockworkmod neither TWRP.

I wasn't sure whether you could install the Xposed framework without a custom recovery (I've never looked into Xposed myself), so I guess I've learned something from this conversation.

I don't want to over-stress the risks, but conversely the first bootloop I suffered was from trying a simple theming mod, so even something that sounds trivial can be a problem if it's not really compatible. That's why I always recommend people to have worked out how they will recover the phone if something goes wrong before modifying system software.

It's a pain if there is no custom recovery for your model, because that limits what you can do. But if there isn't there isn't (and I've seen people get into a real mess by trying a recovery built for a similar device in the hope that that will work for theirs).

Nah, no worries, I am human with precision, I never toy with things I am unsure. That's why I search for Info and try things with care. As for theming I remember I softbricked mine Samsung galaxy core prime 3 years ago because I wanted to see better looking battery life indicator we all see on  upper screen. But that teached me a good reason not to try something again. Also I well know that different model may mean different configuration of system settings and any other technical stuff that makes Android phone behave like it is created.

Hello all I am laughing right now. Why? because there are so many better eays to have something like inteli3g or so.. Why not to try something like Automate it? Does the pretty sane, no need for recovery(well maybe. If care is included)
