So my original desire that I bought around black Friday started having problem, so I called VM and they sent me a replacement phone. I noticed some differences between my old desire 601 and the new replacement. First of all, the vibration is much weaker, you can barley hear and feel it. And second, they back cover is easier to remove because they added a spot to put your nail under it. The model number is also slightly different: HTC0P4E1

how much was the original one?
right now, cost is 239, but was 209 on sale at radio shack a few weeks ago.
Since one poster said he got his at 150, i certainly would not pay more than that.

Ive been debating sending mine in cause of the top speaker randomly not working(still waiting on kit kat too!), outside of the things you listed is there anything else different you noticed?

I have the same model number. Have had this since about a month after launch.

Settings / about / phone identity: HTC0P4E1.

I have the same issue with my desire 601. I just got my phone two weeks ago and my carrier is Ntelos. Can barely feel or hear the vibration. Contacted HTC....nothing they can do. The apps don't help it either and there is no vibration intensity increase in settings. I have missed so many calls and texts.
