Just got an EVO

Just getting used to it since this is the first smart phone ive had and i was just wondering if anyone had just a quick list of things i should do or good apps to add to my phone, sort of like a startup fax/guide or just suggestions :).
 
I would suggest going into the market, and looking at the top app charts and downloading apps that look appealing to you. It takes time to get your phone the way you want it.
 
Yes thats what ive been doing, was just hoping for a few in depth responses that may help me find more things than normal users of the evo might not find.
 
are you tech savvy?

try FTPServer

It allows you to connect via wifi (using a FTP client on your PC) and copy files from pc to phone and vice versa

try BUMP it allows you to exchange pics, and apps EASILY with android and iphone users

try easytether lite allows you to use your usb cable to connect to the internet with your laptop or pc without the "hotspot" (and fee that goes with it.)

also, there is a thread or 3 about apps in the evo forum, as well as android applications. try perusing those :)

Yea im pretty tech savvy just a little lost and confused with the phones right now lol. Thanks a lot for the recomendations though :)

I write for Appolicious.com where we have curated app lists for Android. We do things by topic, so you can read comparisons of sports apps, organizer apps, or reader apps, etc.

Automatic Task Killer. you need it my battery lasts all day now plus I hated having to open advanced task killer every now and again and forcing close the apps.
