All righty. I can offer a little bit of help.

YouTube - There have been problems reported with the Droid Eris and YouTube videos with the latest update. It's nothing wrong with your particular phone, it's something that I believe you will have to wait for a fix for. You may try visiting the Eris forum and looking through the posts there. I believe there are some on that issue.

Yahoo Mail - On the Droid there were some problems getting Yahoo! Mail to work. Not sure if all Android phones suffer from the same issues. You can try this post (http://androidforums.com/how-tips/19558-ymail-working-motorola-droid-finally.html) even though it's not for your exact phone and see if that works for you.

Icons - To add an icon to the home screen, do a "long press" (just touch the screen and hold your finger down for a second or two) in a blank space on the screen. Then select shortcuts and find the Facebook/MySpace application. Alternatively, if you want to go to the actual websites you can add bookmark shortcuts the same way.
