I've got that POS swype that came with a new ROM I downloaded yesterday. I have it on my HTC Magic, but maybe it might work for you. I know I just hate it, so I went back to my HTC keyboard.

all I can say is register for the beta.. they'll email you as soon as it opens.. asking for links to the apk, or posting links to the apk or even telling people how to get it other than through Swype is against board rules..to bad shapewritter isn't on the market anymore..

To add to this it's definitely worth registering for the beta. I had an invite within 1 day of registering. Note that if you update to Froyo after installing Swype you will need to uninstall and reinstall Swype to resolve some glitches that the update causes.
Same here. I'd never used it before but from the outset I was amazed at how intuitive it was. Its amazingly accurate, even for my large fingertips. It learns quickly and is quite customizable. Out of the box its great. I can't wait to see what improvements lie down the road. Highly recommended.
