Help Just got the MAXX, have some issues/questions

I've been using my MAXX for about a day now, coming from a Galaxy Nexus i'm in love with this battery life. Been using it all day and I still have 50% battery life left. Its a nice change. I do however have a issue and wanted to see if anyone could help me out.

I'm noticing a good amount of lag, it seems to be throughout the OS like I have no free memory. I've tried stock, apex, and nova launchers, none which seem better than the other. It really shows up when i'm typing and it locks up for a second and I have to wait for it to catch up with my typing. Very annoying. I installed CPU Spy and notice that the phone rarely is using the 1.5 CPU speed but uses 384MHz speed the most and 1GHZ the 2nd most. I'm not sure why this is but it could be the reason for the lag.

I don't think your CPU speeds are the reasons for your lag. I have mine underclocked to 1ghz and it's still very fluid.

Have you checked the battery tab in your settings? Maybe there's an app that's eating up your performance.

I do however get this lag sometimes when I have a USB cable attached. I believe I know what you're speaking about, it's indeed very frustrating.

I don't have any random apps eating up memory. My usage goes screen, phone idle, wifi, voice calls.....ect

Another questions is how do I get the keyboard notification to go away each time I type something?

Finish typing and close the keyboard.

I only ran stock for 1 day, so no idea, even a battery program could be eating up performance. Same thing after a reboot?

If you mount media through usb, it's going to be laggy on almost any phone for a few seconds.
