Sweet! It's the Note 4 requirement that keeps me from getting one. I switched from Samsung to HTC this year.

I just ordered one, too! I got it overnight so we could get up something on Phandroid quickly, letting you guys know what we think (for those on the fence).

You had to agree to a bunch of terms that identify this as the developer beta edition, I assume because the number of games will be limited. I've already played with it once at the original Note 4 event. It will be interesting to see get more time with it.

I just ordered one too today, but by ground (free) via Samsung. Update. Got email it shipped for Tuesday delivery. That was fast.

Ritchie's Room on Youtube is a great source for the Gear VR and I value his opinion and "inspired" me to buy one.

Guess I was wrong that Qhd is overkill. Samsung knew what they were doing. 1080p would be too low for this function. Especially for movies sharing the DPI area of the display. Apparently movies work out to about 720p to 810p for using the VR interface. I just hope MKV files work.... 2D movies, but I will of course try 3D at some point.

Reports on forums and Ritchie's Room are that even 2D movies looking amazing with the Gear VR.- in a big part due to the Qhd display.
