Rooted S3 with stock ROM. No OTA so I downloaded and installed Kies which says there's a firmware update, get's it, then crashes after it downloads. Any ideas?

You say you are rooted. Do you have Stock Recovery or CMW. To get the update you have to go back to Stock Recovery.

I'm using TWRP. Thanks. I'm new to all this so I'll go figure out how to do that (I have ODIN).
