Just transferred my # from VM to T-Mo

My two examples of transferring numbers to t-mobile (from AT&T) have been relatively issue free. Took no more than two hours for both.

But I have seen examples of much longer.

it was difficult to understand the CS reps...but i guess that's common. he said it'd be around 4pm EST tomorrow.
 
please give an update once is complete, hope it will be a smooth transition for you.
I'm planning to move to Tmobile myself
 
completed overnight...was done by the time i woke up on the 4th.

so far so good. data speeds are quite a bit faster than VM. smooth transition.

nope - porting cancels your previous account where your # was.

i had a new T-Mo # for about 2 weeks while i tried out the service in my area. then called to port my old number.
