Root Just upgraded to Spec got a few questions

New here and brand new to the Spectrum. I'm rooted and running BO 3.0 and its a good ROM. One thing that has concerned me since I turned on my brand new Spec was how it scrolls, using facebook or browsing the web when I scroll up and down it lags or jumps terribly. Also I feel like the screen is not very responsive, I need to touch things multiple times sometimes. Any tips to alleviate this issue?

ive noticed the same things on mine... facebook is the worst for me... but mostly ive grown used to friendcaster... every time facebook fixes a problem for 1 device.. it always causes problems for another...

and the browser... i use the stock one even tho its jumpy... but you should try opera dolphin and firefox...

Not to burst your bubble, but I've encountered that with Maxthon and Boat Browser. I believe it's an issue with the graphics processor, not the apps. For me, the finger-flick scrolling will shoot the page too far in one direction and then won't let me click links until it's completely stopped scrolling.

Yup same exact thing happens to me, I'll be reading a facebook post and boom it shoots all the way to the bottom SO ANNOYING! I dont understand this phone has amazing specs, but my thunderbolt was much snappier and never lagged.

Yea, FB's site is one of the worst offenders. I haven't looked into the site code, but it used to be a heavy Java user, which takes a lot of resources to process. I *thought* they moved to more HTML5, which doesn't do that (you'll find Google sites don't do that as much.. they use HTML5), but I guess not.

The problem Android users have is Android's heavy reliance on Java. It's a resource hog and when app devs rely on more java, it exacerbates the issue.

I had the same problem with this forum, until I started using tapatalk. Couldn't tell you about Facebook, I avoid that place like the plague.

Tapatalk is a lovely app if you use multiple forums like I do. What's weird about this forum is if I mark as 'read' in the app, it doesn't show here and vice versa.
