JXD Handhelds

Found some new Android Handheld

While doing some research on Handhelds I was really looking to buy a system (Handheld) that I was able to play a diverse set of games and emulators on. For example PSX, PSP, GBA, SNES, N64 etc... Not to mention android apk games! I am really starting to enjoy android market and game selection they have.

So I eventually during this search for this non existent handheld I came across a couple of handhelds that actually do what I am looking for. But I wanted to sort of post it on here to get more opinions on if I should just stick with the PSP or if I should actually take the plunge on this potential handhelds?

Do you guys think I should invest in this or just stick it with PSP go?

I would not buy this handheld. I have spent the last month researching these China-Made handhelds, and what I have found is, there is little or no support from the manufacturer for them, and about 40 percent of the units that ship have issues with the screen calibration and other problems like freezing up. You would be better off getting a Kindle Fire for 150 bucks and rooting/flashing it to ICS, then using a WiiMote with it to play games in my opinion.

I ended up purchasing a Subor (same manufacturer as most of the hand-held droid-based devices I have found out) ytj-69 and I have had nothing but problems with it. That's actually what drew me here... to ask if anyone had a solution to the issues.

I have since ordered a Kindle Fire and I plan to flash it to ICS.

I have a JXD S5110. It's great, build quality feels professional and it runs most games with no lag at all. PS1 and N64 emulation have a ways to go, but it plays every other system fine and most Android games work great. PSP is somewhat of a joke compared to Android, the OS is very limited and the hardware is very outdated in general. No touch screen, no accelerometer, no HDMI out, no microSD support... If you must have your Sony fix just go with an Xperia Play or something (although that lacks HDMI out as well).

I just recently bought the 7300. The software and hardware pretty cool but there's still a lot of things about the hardware that were overlooked the need to be rearranged through development as far as compatibility goes it can run game boy advance Gameboy Color arcade PSP PlayStation 1 and 60 for NES Super NES you just have to find the right ROM's and the right emulators.

I have two versions of the jxd, s5110 and v5200. The s5110 has a better processor and is able to emulate n64 roms pretty well. The only thing though is configuring the keys of the remote to a way that one might be comfortable with. I tend to keep the upper yellow keys on the touch screen as from the n64 remote and use the analog stick on the device for movement.
